Availability:

My preferred role is working for a small-medium start-up, with a technical but software based product, preferably related to cloud and/or cyber-security.

I am interested in roles where I can make a difference and help move the needle for customers and the company I work for. Whatever I do, I will bring my experience in Enablement, building killer demos, designing high value proof-of-value engagements, and translating tech into relatable terms. You effectively get this for free with me (unless you're hiring me specifically for these things!)

I enjoy a bit of variety and the natural chaos that comes with the start-up world. I love looking for ways to make improvements and help a company (and my colleagues) grow.

Family:

Family is everything, and it's the motivation behind the work I do. Our family have become travellers, and we homeschool / worldschool them to give them experiences of different cultures and ways of life. We are absolutely open to relocation and full-time work, but it is a family decision that effects us all. My multi-citizenship passes to my children, and we are happy to explore flexibility of location for the right opportunity.

My Story:

I'm also known as "ck" or "Kranz" when there are just too many Chris's in the room (it happens)! I enjoy understanding technology in sufficient depth to be able to explain it, and then breaking it down into simple terms, with a focus on what value it brings (i.e. why do we need it - sometimes you don't!). One of my favourite roles is helping folks, whether this is through teaching, coaching, mentoring, role-plays, or something else. I have been an event organiser and public speaker for over 10 years, including running a number of meetups, co-organising a UK wide community event (KCD UK), hosting webinars, and lots more. I like to build processes and automations that help make things run smoother and allow folks to focus their time and energy on things they enjoy more, or deliver higher value.

I was born in Australia, but raised in the UK, and my Grandmother was Latvian, so I am very priveleged to hold 3 citizenships which gives me flexibility in work location. I have spent much of my working live working in a sales assisting role, whether as technical presales, sales enablement, product manager, architect, or go-to-market specialist. I have been quota carrying, and have made presidents club on multiple occasions. I don't shy away from a challenge and am very self motivated - I'm driven to be better in myself, not to be better than others. I'm a big fan of intrinsic motivations over extrinsic, although I do appreciate being paid well for a job well done!
